Dal (Indian Spilt-Pea Soup) C/P

1 lb dry yellow split peas
2 celery stalks; chop fine
1 large carrot; chop fine
1 medium onion; chop fine
2 tablespoon sweet butter
1 tablespoon curry powder
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 bay leaf
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 chicken bouillon cubes
2 quart water
Place all ingredients in crockpot, stir, cover, cook on low for 7 to 9 hours. Garnish with chopped green pepper.
Yield: 6 servings
