Fresh Coriander Chutney (Chatni Hara Dhaniyaan)

condiment, ethnic, indian, snacks

3 spring onions
2 oz frsh coriander leaves
1/2 teaspoon fresh ginger; chopped
2 fresh green chillies
1 sea salt; to taste
6 tablespoon lemon juice

A freshly made green coriander chutney fills the dining room with an appetizing aroma and is "finger-licking good" in taste. It is very suitable for picnics and parties or with western savoury snacks. 1. Clean and chop the first four ingredients. 2. Grind them coarsely over the sil-batta or in an electric grinder. No water should be added. 3. Add the salt, grind a little more, and remove the contents to a bowl. Use a little lemon juice to remove all the contents into the bowl. 4. Pour in the lemon juice and blend well. Chill before serving.
