Cherry Chutney #1 (Margaret O'sullivan)
condiment, indian, relishes
1 kg cherries; pitted, chopped
1 cup dried currants
1/2 cup sugar
30 ml molasses
1 cup red wine vinegar
Put all ingredients into a pan and bring to the boil, stirring to dissolve the sugar. Simmer for at least 30 minutes, stirring frequently, until thickened. Spoon into jars and seal.
