Green Chili Chutney - Bph

2 lb fresh new mexico chilies; roasted, peeled, and dice
1 or
2 lb anaheim chiles, with 2 or 3 jalapen; os, all roasted
2 cup sugar
1 tablespoon ground mexican oregano
2/3 cup cider vinegar
1 tablespoon salt

: Mix chilies, sugar, oregano, vinegar and salt and cook for 10 to 15 minutes over medium heat in an enamel or stainless steel pan. Allow to cool, and serve cold. Store in refrigerator. : For a hotter chutney, add 6 diced roasted jalapenos (or increase the number accordingly if using Anaheims and jalapenos. Nutrition per serving: 31 calories, trace of fat, no cholesterol, 112mg sodium. See, they're good for you. :) Preparation time: 25 minutes.
