Chutney Cheese Pate

----AMERICAN MEASUREMENTS----
6 oz cream cheese; softened
1 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
4 teaspoon dry sherry
1/2 teaspoon curry powder
1/4 teaspoon salt (optional)
8 oz mango chutney; finely chop
1 (or 2) green onion & tops finely ch; opped
1 sesame or wheat crackers
Exotic flavors began to emerge in the '70's. Mango chutney added zip to this weekly Favorite Recipe contest winner in January 1979.
DIRECTIONS: In a large bowl, beat cream cheese, Cheddar, sherry, curry powder and salt. Spread mixture on serving platter about 1/2-inch thick. Chill until firm. At serving time, spread chutney over top and sprinkle with chopped green onions. Serve with crackers. Makes 6 to 8 appetizer servings.
