1 1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon sugar
3 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 cup water*
1/2 cup milk
PEAS----
1/2 lb split peas
1 teaspoon tumeric or curry
3 cup water
1 clove garlic
2 teaspoon ground cumin
1 dried hot peppers(optional; )
*may need more water for batter/dough* Blend together: flour, salt, baking powder, sugar, milk, and water. Knead until soft and elastic. Form into balls, rub with oil and let rest. Boil all the ---PEAS-- ingredients until soft. Allow to cool. (if using a hot pepper, puree with a little of the peas in a blender and mix back in with the remaining peas). Mixture should be very thick. If not, cook until it is. Make a hole in the dough ball with your fingers. Stuff with the pea mixture and roll out to 1/4 inch thickness.
